Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE)

This a compulsory course delivered by tutors once every two weeks. You will develop your interpersonal skills by discussing and debating a a number of key matters that effect your life inside and outside of school. You will be given knowledge, skills and support to help you to choose your path in life and to make informed decisions in your personal life and career path. 

 

The course is split into three themes:

Theme 1: Health and Wellbeing

Theme 2: Relationships

Theme 3: Living in the wider world

 

You will study a range of topics including:

  • Mindfulness 
  • Wellbeing and Mental Health
  • Healthy Minds and Positive Relationships (Relationship and Sex Education)
  • Global issues
  • Citizenship and Critical Thinking 
  • Drug and Alcohol Miss-use Awareness 
  • British Values (democratic values, celebrating diversity and individual liberty and the importance of law) 
  • Personal finance and Careers 

There are no exams but you will document your progress and critical thinking by filling in a reflective journal at the end of every session.
