There are several different apps and online services available for parents and students. You can find information abotut them on the Links menu on the school website, or by following the links below:
FireFly is for students to log in and access their homework and many other learning resources. You log in using your usual school username and password. Or you can download the Firefly app from your app store by searching FireFly for Students. The school code is HAJC
FireFly Parents Portal, is for parents to log in and check their child's homework and progress, and also access assessments and reports.
Our School App (MyEd) is available for parents and carers. You can get up to date information about what is happening at school, check your child's progress and attendance, and also get your child's reports and assessments delivered directly to your smartphone or other mobile device. We also use MyEd to alert you to any important information, such as unscheduled school closures, or if your child is unexpectedly absent from school. (For absence alerts, you will also receive an SMS text message to your mobile phone).
ParentPay is for parents and carers to pay money into their child's school dinner account. You can also use it to pay for trips and visits and other items from time to time. You should have received an activation letter when your child started at the school. If you didn't receive one, please contact us using the details below.
Web Gateway is for students to log into the school network from home. You can access all your files, documents and programs. It works just like using the school computers and you can get it on Windows, mac and even iPad
SAM Learning is available to all students. You can log in and access revision exercises, tests and sample xam questions for many different subjects.
Microsoft Office 365 is available, for free for students at Hinckley Academy to install on up to five devices at home.
