Remote Learning

Please find a range of useful links and documents below to help support our students with remote learning when self-isolating or during closure periods -

Microsoft Teams - Remote/Online Learning

We continue to develop and strengthen our remote learning practices, including introducing online Microsoft Teams lessons where necessary.
To support students, should they be required to access online Microsoft Teams lessons in the future, we have created a series of PDFs which explain how to access Teams on a laptop or mobile device and our user guidelines. These can be viewed using the list below:

Teachers invite students to Teams lessons via their school email address. These lessons last approximately 20minutes followed by an independent task and will usually follow their normal timetable.

If you have any concerns or comments you would like to make about online learning please contact me directly by emailing:

Online Learning Advice - Download

A guide created to support students, parents and carers with accessing our online learning platforms.

All teachers in all subjects have uploaded resources to FireFly/other online portals and/or have created paper resources to enable all students at home to be able to continue to study. All students should be able to access resources to work from home if required. Prior to closure we ensured all students were shown how to access these during lessons.

Firefly is used by students, teachers and parents. Teachers use it to set homework tasks for students and to share learning resources with them. Students use it to check their timetables and to collect and return homework from their teachers. Parents can use it to view a range of information about their child’s learning and progress, including timetables, their homework, their feedback from teachers, attendance and reports.

You can use Firefly on any device - a desktop computer or laptop, or on a tablet such as an iPad or even on a smart phone.
